Glasgow and West - Tue, 27 Nov, 2012

Glasgow and West - Tue, 27 Nov, 2012 Video Clips. Duration : 25.72 Mins.

A major gas alert was issued today after a mains supply just yards from a school in Clackmannanshire was ruptured by a farmer. The school was evacuated; homes and businesses were affected in the villages of Dollar, Tillicoultry and Fishcross. Roads were closed. Over a hundred gas workers were called to the scene. More than a thousand homes are without a supply tonight. In other news; a killer who has spent forty-five years in Scotland's state mental hospital is to be transferred to prison. The ruling by appeal judges means Alexander Reid could now apply for parole. He stabbed a young mother to death at her home in Bishopbriggs in 1967. And in sport; Neil Lennon says he regrets having an altercation with some Celtic fans, but insists his threat of quitting as manager was not said in the heat of the moment. The Parkhead manager, who clashed with supporters on Saturday, admits his side's poor form in the league has taken the gloss off their Champions League heroics.
